Hotel Reservations

It is no longer possible to order hotel rooms or edit hotel reservations (through accessing existing registrations), through the online registration for VLDB 2005. Royal Garden (conference hotel) and Rainbow Gildevangen, still have available rooms. Please use the web pages of the hotels to book a hotel room.

Important: When booking hotel rooms on the web pages of the hotels, please state that you are a VLDB 2005 participant in order to get the conference price for the hotel room.

All VLDB 2005 prices are given in Norwegian Kroner (NOK). Check the Yahoo! Currency Converter if you want to convert an amount from Norwegian Kroner (NOK) and into other currencies. Please note that all prices include 25% VAT.

Terms and Conditions

Regular Conference Registration Fee

The regular conference registration fee includes attendance to all the conference sessions, tutorials, panels and demos, luncheon all four days of the conference, morning and afternoon refreshment breaks, one conference banquet ticket, and a CD-ROM with the conference papers.

Student Conference Registration Fee

The student registration fee covers the same as the regular conference registration fee. Please note that only full time students qualify for the student rate. Students must hence present their student ID cards at the conference.

Workshop Registration Fee

The workshop registration fee includes attendance to the specified workshop and luncheon.

Payment

Payment must accompany all registration forms, and it may be made by credit card (American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard, MasterCard, VISA) or by bank transfer. Registration forms received without payment will not be processed.

Please refer to 589935 VLDB2005, and state the name(s) of the participant(s) clearly on all payments. Bank, currency and transfer charges are the responsibility of the payer.

Confirmation

A few moments after you have registered online, you will receive a confirmation email with a detailed registration summary. A complete confirmation of your registration, including hotel reservation and payment specification will be sent by email to all registered participants in the beginning of July 2005. After that, complete registration confirmations will be sent as registrations arrive.

Please note that registrations will also be accepted at the conference. Any outstanding registration fees must be paid before attendance to the conference will be authorized.

Cancellation and Liability

Cancellation Terms

Any cancellation must be received in writing by the VLDB 2005 Conference Secretariat (vldb2005@adm.ntnu.no).

A full registration fee will be charged unless a cancellation notice is received by July 1, 2005, and a NOK 1000 handling fee will apply to all cancellations received by July 1, 2005. No fees will be refunded after that date. Refunds will be processed after the conference has ended.

Substitutes from the same company/organisation will be accepted without extra charge. Substitutions must be made in writing to the VLDB 2005 Conference Secretariat (vldb2005@adm.ntnu.no).

Liability

The organizers are not liable for any losses, accidents, or damage to persons or objects, regardless of the cause. Participants attend the conference and all related events at their own risk and responsibility.

If events outside the VLDB 2005 conference control should cause the conference to be cancelled or aborted, no refund is given.
